From the moment you open the door of Gibson Goodies Cafe, you feel like you are stepping into the little sun porch off of Aunt Aggie's kitchen. The cheerful café is painted a warm sunshine yellow and is decorated with an antique side board, china plates, and beautiful oil paintings of Southern Women.

What is that wonderful smell coming from the kitchen that transports you back a decade or two when you went to visit your special Great Aunt and she started opening the cupboard to get out the china and to slice you a piece of that ~ What is it today? Aunt Mayme's Apricot Nectar Cake? Or Virginia Ann's Banana Nut Muffins? Or Little Tike's Raspberry Chocolate Brownies?

It takes you a while to finally settle on your treat for today and a cup of coffee before settling down at one of the little parlor tables to enjoy your goodies.
